I Have Not Forgotten the Podcast
I was, in fact, thinking about it a great deal, while deadline after deadline landed on my head like a series of dead fish, all of which smelled horrible and had to be gotten out of the house as quickly as possible.

Now, I'm only doing one book, and while I'd hoped to have a new microphone so the sound quality would be wonderful, my budget has every penny accounted for, and new mics are pricey.

I'll get the next podcast out by the 15th, and I am very sorry that everyone has had to wait so long.

    what kind of mics were you looking at - brand, model, featureset? what are you using now?

    I currently have a $30 Logitech desk mic. The one I'll be getting as soon as savings permit is the Blue Snowball USB mic, which is Mac compatible out of the box, offers both cardioid and omnidirectional settings, and which has been recommended by a few folks who have and love them.

    It's also very reasonably priced; I just need to have a month where everything isn't tagged to go to something else. I figure next month will be good for that.

    logitech - boo!
    that snowball's cute. looks it gets genuinely stellar reviews, too (i figured you'd do your research, but i don't know how geeky/techy you are). and you can get it on sale at amazon for ~$125 right now.

    have you considered setting up any kind of wishlist on amazon or anything, or would that feel too commercial & needy? i'd be glad to chit chat with you about some kind of trade... mic for books, or something similar, if you're on a tight budget and want the new mic now. ;)

    i gotta buy most of your books anyway, so i can catch up :S if you have some that're signed, that'd be a much better deal that having the money pass through a dozen people's hands before coming out on your side.

    your choice though. book buying spree happens tomorrow!

    All the copies of books I have are the contract author copies. Clauses in my contracts forbid me to sell them, though I can give them away to my heart's content. I use them as prizes on my website. I get paid directly if you buy e-books from my site. Otherwise, I'll have to wait for indirect payment.

    Thank you for buying them, however you do, and I hope you thoroughly enjoy each one.

    I'm thrilled that you're not quitting podcasting. I adore your style, at once inspirational and realistic, and I'd hate to see it gone forever! I've bought your character clinic and am trying to decide what to get next. :)

    Heather: If you examine HollyLisle.com or Writer's Market, you should get a really clear idea of what to do to get published, or perhaps more importantly- what NOT to do. Also, if you're uninterested in traditional publishing, Lulu.com is an excellent site for print-on-demand publishing. (I wouldn't worry about your age, either- Holly said in the last podcast, if you've got a good book, youth is pretty much a marketing perk.)

    After a lengthy career of lurking about the site, I discovered the gem that is this podcast and have enjoyed it thourogly. Please say next one will be out soon!

    I've ended up swamped in revision hell, and the only time I have to do the podcast is the same time in which I have to do my writing. Since writing is the job, the podcast is hung up again.

    I've been giving it some serious thought, but I don't know when I'm going to break free to do the next episode.

    I discovered this podcast recently - I think it's great and have really enjoyed the episodes I've listened to so far.

    Is it on a permanent back-burner though? I really hope not....

    I'm kind of switching to video podcasting. I have some examples up on blip.tv, but because I'm putting together a HUGE writing course at the moment, I'm not doing any full podcasts yet.

    I am glad to post my views and points in this blog, Blogs are becoming the main source of knowing about things certainty,its importance,idolizing,either in a marketing way that one can differentiate. I enjoyed to be at here because one of my point has been cleared here.
